$150,000 Instant Asset Write-off: What is it and how can my business take advantage of it?
The Instant Asset Write-Off is a government initiative that allows eligible businesses to
- immediately write off the cost of each asset that cost less than the threshold
- claim a tax deduction for the business portion of the purchase cost in the year the asset is first used or installed ready for use.
In response to the economic impact of COVID-19 the existing Instant Asset Write-Off was updated from previous requirements. The revised initiative is available between March 12 and June 30 2020 and has been updated to include:
- threshold amount for each asset is $150,000 (up from $30,000)
- eligibility has been expanded to cover businesses with an aggregated turnover of less than $500 million (up from $50 million).

No, our factory is following government guidelines for distancing and hygiene measures and we are running at full capacity. Felton Industries is 100% Australian Owned and Made and based out of rural NSW. Our supply chain is running as normal.

Delivery times are running according to usual schedules. In addition a large selection of our outdoor furniture products are ready for immediate dispatch.
